Become a Ninja Warrior at Elite Air in Newburgh

By Jo Beth Bootz, Macaroni Kid Evansville Publisher September 15, 2016

In my house, every week is Ninja Warrior week. It started a few years ago as my husband and I battled over what to watch on television in the evenings. After our children were born, they became mini-ninjas. Our oldest daughter is 100% obsessed with the show. She can’t take her eyes off the screen when Jessie Graff and other dedicated athletes attempt the courses.

When I told her there was a Ninja Warrior course in town, she shrieked with delight. All I kept hearing was, “When can we go, mommy? Now? Now? Now?” Her wish came true last Friday as we went to check out Elite Air in Newburgh. The facility is very easy to find as it is located off of 261 behind the Donut Bank in the old Buy Low building. When we entered the building, we were greeted by friendly staff who got us registered in the system and ready for fun. One of the things that impressed me the most was their dedication to families by offering a fun location to let loose and have some fun together.

Elite Air is more than just a trampoline park and we experienced that first hand. Once we got all set up, we walked over to the Ninja Warrior course which is impressive! The course is designed for both kids and adults so you can do the obstacles together. The best part is that you don’t have to be a pro – I tripped and fell down numerous times, but I did so with a smile and continuous laughter because it was nothing but fun. The kids loved trying it out and feeling like real Ninja Warriors! The course also includes warped walls which are beyond cool, especially if you are a fan of the show. While we were there, we got to watch an aspiring adult ninja completely dominate the course and have fun at the facility as well. You can see him in our video, featured below. You might want to keep your eye on him as he could be on tv in the future!

After the Ninja Warrior course, we went up to check out the trampoline area. It is very easy to navigate (especially for toddlers) and there are lots of options including a dodgeball area. We learned the balls used are made of a soft, flexible material that is much safer and less harsh than traditional dodgeballs. You can also try making a slam dunk with their basketball hoops, do traditional jumping or even check out their big airbag. The airbag was great because it was safe, fun and even had trapeze bars to swing above. The airbag is also a cleaner option if you are uneasy about foam pits.

If you are tired or thirsty, Elite Air has a café area with lots of yummy options for everyone in your family. They also have arcade games if you need to take a break from jumping or ninja training. Also, the facility has a number of unique birthday party packages and rooms! We had the chance to check out these rooms and they even have a black light feature if you turn off the lights. It was something we had never seen in a birthday party room and the kids went crazy for it.

We fell in love with the staff and the facility and we hope you will, too! Check out their website or Facebook page for more information and special deals. They also have a date night feature so you can go out with your spouse while your kids stay and play!
