My School Options

Education

My School Options (MSO) is the parent, family and community outreach team of the Institute for Quality Education (IQE). IQE is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring all Hoosier children have access to quality educational opportunities. IQE has a dedicated policy team tracking legislation, advocating for educational freedom, and educating others on policy changes and effects. In addition to this, IQE’s Scholarship Granting Organization is Indiana’s largest SGO. IQE donors are responsible for nearly half of  the $31 million in scholarships that have been granted since the creation of Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship program.

The MSO website contains information about all of Indiana’s K-12 schools and the various school choice programs available.  It also contains a calculator to determine what type of financial aid families might qualify for if considering a private school, and information on how to apply for those benefits. Along with the website, MSO has a new app that contains all of these resources for families at the touch of a button.

During this past legislative session, now 90% of Hoosier families qualify to receive a Choice Scholarship (voucher) or Tax Credit Scholarship to help pay for private school tuition and fees. For example, a family of four can make up to $147,075 annually and qualify for these programs. Over the summer MSO has been running a massive statewide awareness campaign to help families understand their options when it comes to their child’s K-12 options. Outreach team members have been attending community events and hosting Parent Information Sessions in every corner of the state.
