Over the summer, my daughter discovered a new spot in Boonville where she could enjoy her specialty coffees. Trickey's Brews and Beverages opened on the square in Boonville and is just a quaint spot to sit and enjoy your favorite beverage. The atmosphere of wood floors and brick walls gives you the feeling it's been there forever. The building might be that old but Trickey's actually opened for business in 2021. Pam and Ken Trickey own the building but considered the best use for it for a couple of years before deciding on a relaxing place to just sit, talk, read and enjoy a beverage or two. Almost all the furniture is second-hand or repurposed--and wait until you see the bathrooms! I'm not going to ruin it for you...I had to experience them first-hand myself.
Besides the beverages, there's also donuts early in the week, either from Pioneer Bakery or Donut Bank. The sweet breads (banana, blueberry, cinnamon and others) are baked in house.
Stop by at lunchtime and enjoy the soup of the day, which might be white chicken chili, broccoli cheddar, chicken vegetable, regular chili or others. It can be accompanied by a grilled cheese with cheddar and Colby jack on artisan white bread or a graze box with cheese, crackers, fruit, salami and more.
