Is Your Child Ready For Kindergarten?

United Way Partners With EVSC And WCSC

April 16, 2023

We believe every child should begin school ready to learn. But we know many children in Southwestern Indiana start school already behind their peers. K-Camp is specially designed to get children who have never attended preschool or need more time in a preschool setting ready for kindergarten in the fall.

In 2022, 95% of K-Campers demonstrated growth in literacy skills. In addition, the program served as early intervention for 22 campers who demonstrated a need for more intensive assistance as they began their academic career.

Expanded EVSC Options

Thanks to our growing partnership with EVSC, K-Camp is expanding to 7 schools throughout Evansville! K-Camp is a half-day morning program from June 5-30 with start and end times that vary at each EVSC location. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day, and bus transportation is available if your child is registered by May 15.
