When I took over as Macaroni KID Evansville publisher in January 2021, I have to admit, things were much different than they are now. So many organizations and businesses were hesitant to open their doors, knowing environments were being scrutinized and events were being looked at for total numbers, locations, etc. It was slow going, trying to fill our events calendar with mainly internet-based activities. But, so many groups pulled through, showed how to create meaningful events even if they were two dimensional on the computer screen.
Now I find we can barely keep up with the multitude of events going on in our area. It's so exciting! And the businesses who are willing to partner with MKE to promote what they offer as well as give us tickets and gift cards to reward our subscribers and followers make me feel so humble and grateful.
One of our goals for 2023 was to assemble as many topical guides as we could to help parents navigate the opening doors in our community. Starting with our Birthday Guide, this year has seen a Pre-School/Childcare Guide, Valentine Guide, Coffee House Guide, Road Trippin' Guide, Mother's Day and Summer Camp Guide. In the coming weeks, you'll see a Vacation Bible School Guide. Have you checked them out? You should! Our Summer Camp Guide and Birthday Guide have new additions since being published. Our Road Trippin' Guide can help you plan a fun day trip this summer that's within a few hours' drive of Evansville.
