October Already

By Diane Braun September 28, 2024

Fall is here.  I noticed recently that not only has Halloween taken over many stores but Christmas has creeped in. Ready or not? How do you feel about this? Does the mixing of jack o'lanterns and tinsel make you excited?  Annoyed? Does the tree go up the day after Halloween or the day after Thanksgiving? I'd love to do a survey.

We've been busy getting events entered in our Fall Events Guide. I hope you've seen it--located on our Guides page, it is FULL of family and kid-friendly activities throughout October, many of them free! If we missed one, let me know.  It's free to be included.  Many thanks to Mayse Farm Market for sponsoring again this year!

You'll soon see the Evansville Thunderbolts logo on our home page.  We are partnering with them for another year of hockey fun! They are giving away four tickets to each of their 28 regular season home games to friends of Macaroni KID Evansville! Follow us on Facebook to win and check out their spot on our website for schedules, promotions and fun at the Ford Center.

Many schools will have their Fall Break this month.  Another guide you can find on our website contains local school calendars.  Suggested by a subscriber it's a great all-in-one guide that's handy throughout the school year. If you have ideas for guide topics, let us know--we'd love to create another!

Here's hoping October is cooler and ends with a happy Halloween!
