Meet UNIFI Autism Therapy Center

By Diane Braun April 15, 2025

A new autism therapy center has opened in Evansville.  Located on W. Illinois Street, the center will specialize in therapy for children with autism. Services will include diagnostic evaluations as well as treatment of children with a positive diagnosis, when applicable. diagnosed cases.  Children ages 18 months through 18 years are eligible to be evaluated and receive services.

I recently spoke to the President and Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Breanne Hartley, and she was excited to share the news of their new location in Evansville.  With centers currently offering services in Indianapolis, Bloomington and South Bend, Evansville is the first site to offer more than just basic services. She shared that their goal is to help prepare children of all ages make meaningful progress for success in school. Whether your child is suspected to be on the spectrum or you have a diagnosis of autism, they will be welcome at UNIFI.

They aspire to secure a promising future for children. They don’t just treat autism symptoms; they partner to support the overall health and well-being of the children and families under their care. They look beyond today’s therapy session and seek to prepare children for their tomorrows. UNIFI collaborates with local healthcare systems such as Deaconess and their medical staff to not only treat those children on the spectrum but address other health concerns such as keeping well-child appointments, vaccinations, etc.

At UNIFI, they respect a child’s individuality while building strengths, promoting resilience and developing functional skills that enable the child to flourish on their own terms throughout their lifespan. Their “whole child” approach to unified care recognizes that autistic children have a wide range of health and developmental needs, beyond any autism-related disabilities and behavior. When it comes to your child’s health and development, they share the work of worry. They partner with your child’s healthcare professionals, educators, psychologists and others to actively support their overall health and well-being.

They continuously evaluate and improve the way they plan and deliver care, your child’s progress and outcomes, and the quality of life of those children and families they serve.

Their website can provide information and resources not only to parents and families but also healthcare professionals and caregivers.
