Located on the north side of Evansville, Night Sun Stables has been fostering a love of horses and building confident riders since 1997. With nearly three decades of experience, owner Carmen Hurley is a John Lyons Certified trainer who provides a safe, welcoming, and educational environment for riders of all ages and experience levels.
Our summer program is designed to give kids hands-on horse experience while keeping things fun and engaging. We offer a variety of options including 3-day camps, one-day themed camps, and mini camps for younger children (ages 3–6 with a parent/guardian present). Campers ride twice daily, learn proper horse care, and participate in games, crafts, and interactive activities both in and out of the saddle.
We also offer a unique sensory-friendly camp in partnership with a BCBA, creating an inclusive and supportive experience for children who may benefit from a quieter, more individualized environment.
In addition to camps, we offer horseback riding lessons by appointment for all ages and experience levels, as well as a fun Parents Night Out, a great opportunity for kids to enjoy time at the barn while parents get a night to themselves.
At Night Sun Stables, we focus on more than just riding…we teach responsibility, confidence, and respect for both horses and others. Whether your child is brand new to horses or already has experience, our programs are a great way to learn, grow, and have fun.
