K-Camp is specially designed to get children who have never attended preschool or need more time in a preschool setting ready for kindergarten in the fall. This half-day FREE program is conducted by licensed teachers who use fun, engaging activities to improve literacy and social-emotional skills. Breakfast and lunch are provided and each student receives a free book each day.

Children will learn things like adjusting to a classroom setting, practicing following directions and rules, working on skills such as recognizing shapes, letters, counting and writing their names. Bus services can be provided to and from camp if needed, but is not guaranteed. K-Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children preparing to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2024, with no prior preschool experience. Few requirements are your child/children must be potty trained and is 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024. Please proceed with the application if this program sounds like a good fit for your child/children. We will be in touch after your application has been reviewed.

In 2023, 82% of K-Campers demonstrated growth in literacy skills. In addition, the program served as early intervention for 48 campers who demonstrated a need for more intensive assistance as they began their academic career.
